Felix Hernandez pitched eight innings of shutout baseball tonight in Yankee Stadium and struck out eleven.  Ichiro and Figgins pulled off their first double steal of the season and Branyan hit a pair of homeruns as the Mariners won their fifth game of the seven game-old road trip. It is the seventh win in ten games under interim manager Daren Brown.

Summer is going by way too quickly and the MBA program that starts at the end of the month has already provided me my pre-course assignments.

I want to get into the habit of blogging at least a couple of times per week as well as totally get organized in the rest of my life since there won’t be a whole lot of down time between work, school and my girls.

I hope the Pete Carroll era for the Seahawks goes well, but I’m not sure how closely I’ll be able to follow them – I’m going to pass on all fantasy football this year. I’m also excited for the Husky football team as well, but will probably have to follow them more casually than I’d like.
